About
I’m Stephanie Mills. My background is in architecture, urban design and film. I’m researching processes and characteristics for fostering social innovation in cities. By way of action research, practice and collaboration with others, my aims are to:
- Explore and develop innovative participatory processes for new forms of collaborative urbanism;
- Act as a catalyst for social and environmental change by raising people’s awareness and encouraging them to think and look at things differently;
- Stimulate participation and debate in the public realm using new media in innovative ways, unexpected formats and unusual spaces;
- Document and design new spatial and organisational typologies (hybrid space and forums) that blur the boundaries between living, working, learning and socialising in urban environments.
